Default FREE LANDERED LIGHT ON DASH NO Power...... but not smoking....

Hi I’m new to this site so please bear with me.
I have Free Lander 1999 20TDI, today a light come on the dash (symbolizing an engine figuer) and power was lost.
The strange thing is that no smoke was visible; I could not get it past 3000RPM in 3rd and would not go above 60Km/h.
I just had it serviced, new exhaust, new diesel pump, re conditioned injectors. It was going great then after 50km this like I said no power.............
Any suggestion or opinions would be of great help.

Thank you all..

GILLY.

Why would you expect smoke?
Sounds like your injector pump is not set up properly or you got bad fuel or water in the fuel.

hi spike555.

this is my situation, i spoke to the garage today . they recon that there is a pipe from the head cover that goes to the turbo and waste gate is missing. im in Saudi and the car is in South Africa so it is hard to physicaly have a look.
. i find this rather strange as im sure i have heard the waste gate going before and the car was going ok never had much power because the mechanic said the exhaust was blocked up but it never lost power LIKE IT DID on D day. . do you think there is a possibility this is true?? i had a look in the manual and it says it could be the MAP that is not functioning correctly. i SAW IT ON ( engine mangamnet system EDC page 315.)

thanks
