Freelander 1 ignition switch wiring
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to fit an accessory that needs power only when the ignition is switched OFF. Does anyone know if there is a wire (possibly off the ignition switch), that goes live when the ignition is turned off, please? It's a 2001 TD4, if that makes a difference.

Hi
I wouldn't go for the ignition switch directly
Better look on the fuse box under the steering wheel(right hand car)
With a tester or a check light to identify an empty slot that gets voltage directly before the switch
Other wise from the battery
Don't forget to install a fuse and bear in mind that also small consumers can drain your battery over time when not charging(engine off)
