Freelander 2 Aircon acting up.
I have a Freelander 2 VIN SALFA2AB8EL911372. I have a weird problem. When i first start the car, the Aircon compressor switches ON and the car cools reasonably. But during long drives at times the compressor cuts out and never cuts in again. The only way to start it back again is to either switch the A/c OFF and back ON again with the switch on the dash or Turn OFF the engine and start it again.
The issue is intermittent so whenever I send it to the garage they can't seem to replicate the problem. We have checked the gas pressure and it's OK. Can you advise which parts should we check and also whether replacing some of the electrical parts of the AC system will help? Or is it the compressor that's at end of life?
Anyone else faced the same issue and resolved it?
