Hi All, seeking solid advice here! Invested in a 2003 freelander td4 recently and loved every bit of it until the inevitable happened. My engine malfunction light flicked on. White/blue then black smoke started pouring out the exhaust. Took it to my friend and he told me:
- Rocker cover gasket or Intercooler Pipes (replacement after market and genuine parts bought but not fitted)

further, took it to my mechanic and he told me:
- fuel pump. So that’s been replaced.

After that he told me:
- crankcase breather filter. So replaced that and all filters + full service.

Now I’ve been told a cylander is misfiring and when it is turned over it’s only running on three! So either and injector or cracked cylinder head problems!

Seeking specialst landrover mechanic advice or anyone who has had similar issues and what the solution was!
