Default God help me! 1628+1629

An issue that hasn't happened in a year and for the first time since I bought my scanner has come back and at the worst possible time. I'm just starting a 4000 mile journey home and today the SOB died on me three times presenting the usual 1471,1472,1475 codes (stupid evap valve, just replaced a few weeks ago) but in addition to this, 1628 and 1629 are also appearing and those two kill the vehicles power on the spot.

The "Service Engine NOW" light comes when these codes present themselves (usually as pending). The engine can almost maintain speed if on flat ground with the throttle to the floor, but any speed lost cannot be regained and on parking the engines idle revs up and down between 500-1500 rpm. It seems this issue is triggered by a sudden change in throttle pressure, usually when I let off all of a sudden, which happens a lot due to wildlife and road conditions (I'm in the Rocky Mountains at the moment). If ANYONE has even the foggiest as to what this issue is and what the fix will be, I can be at an LR dealer tomorrow afternoon to get the parts/programming needed.

This issue is going to get me killed as I can't just keep pulling over anywhere every time this thing dies

2002 Freelander 2.5 KV6 (NAS)

While I'm typing, does anyone know where I could get a list of the code definitions for LR? My scanner doesn't provide manufacturer specific definitions for any of the Brits.

Ok, well the code means there's a short circuit from the throttle body motor to the battery, makes sense given the symptoms. New questions are what do I do about it and why did it happen in the first place?
