Hot start problem
Hi, guys. I have a 2002 Freelander. A few months ago I started having problems starting the car when it was hot. I searched a little bit and found that it could be due to a bad camshaft sensor. I had that replaced and the problem seemed to go away for a while but now it's back and it's worse. It's happening almost every day now. I recently discovered that my local village mechanic lied to me at least once (he said he did something and another mechanic later discovered that nothing was done). He does not have any experience with LandRovers and he does not have proper software. So that makes me wonder whether he replaced the camshaft sensor at all or just said he did.
So here are my questions:
1. Is there any way to check whether the camshaft sensor was in fact replaced?
2. Could anything else be responsible for the car not starting while hot? Thank you!
