mpg and problems with freelander 2 2006 to 2008

My son is contemplating buying a diesel Freelander 2 TD4 GS around 2006 to 2008. I would appreciate owners views asap with regard to mpg and problems in general.

Personally, before buying a vehicle I would gather as much information about the vehicle as I could, like you're doing now. Just stay glued to your computer, Google is your friend.
