Question were in a little bit of a pickle dick

Recently my 02 Freelander (K25) was not performing great so i pulled the MAF and realised it was covered in gunk. I carried on and cleaned all the way untill the thottle body. I used a MAP/MAF sensor cleaner (supposedly safe for what i was using it for) to take care of all this and when i put it all back together it began running REAL rough (loud, sparatic idle etc.) so i purchased a new MAF sensor figuring maybe this could be the culprit. Well when the new one was installed the problem didnt go away even after i cleared the OBD2 codes. BTW the code it keeps giving me is a dealer only typeof code. Basically what im getting at is i also cleaned (maybe damaged) the sensor right after the MAF but just before the throtle body. I have looked up air temp (figuring thats what it was) and have found nothing. Basically what im getting at is what is this sensor called? and also could this be my coulprit? Thanks
