1997 Range Rover 4.6 HSE
Just traded in my 00 Eclipse for this Range Rover. I am just wondering what i should be looking out for. It has 136,xxx miles and there is a very small oil leak, about 2-3 drops through out the whole night. I am going to run Castrol GTX High mileage oil in it. The air suspension works perfectly and it looks to be in good condition or it was rebuilt before sold. Other then that there is no major problems, just no keys for roof rack or trailer hitch lock, and the A/C self diagnostic light is on. Bought it for 9998.00 and it seems really nice. Did i really get a good deal or was this a big mistake
Welcome aboard !
As you will see from the posts, small oil leaks are the norm and no cause for alarm. Just keep up on the maintenance. One thing to check right away. Make sure your PVC hoses are not soggy and collapsed. The one goes from the valve cover to the intake plenum. If you standing in front of the engine with the hood up it will be on your left side two thirds the way back on the valve cover. Pull off one end and make sure it's not all gooey
