2000 RR Rhino alarm issue?!?!?!
Today we were doing some shopping and we locked the car with the key fob setting the alarm. When we came back out about a half hour later the key fob would not unlock the doors or disarm the alarm. We tried changing the batteries and nothing seems to work. Whats going on?!!?!?!?!
My bet its there is nothing wrong with your alarm system. But, that there is to much radio "noise" occuring around the vehicle. In Britian they use a different frequency 433mhz to be exact and 315mhz in the US. This being said, there are other devices in the US that run on the 433mhz freqency and can interfer with your car's remote and reciever. Having said this happened in a shopping center, forces me to believe that the car got confused with all the "racket" occuring and is refusing to accept even its own remote, so short and simple, your rangie doesn't like crowded places
. Did it start working when you got home? or did you have to reprogram the key?

I concurr. Did you try re-syncing the key to the vehicle?
Put the key in the lock, turn right to lock while pushing the lock button on the remote, then immediately back to left to unlock, while pushing the unlock button on the remote. Should sync it right up, and you should be good to go!
Ive found this happens to me almost every time I park on the top deck, so after a few frantic calls from the girlfriend about a piece of crap dead rover
, we just park in the lower levels
