Question 2001 P38 Update

We got the P38 up and running after engine change (54,000 used lump) old dropped a sleeve. Drove it for 250 miles it got to 285 deg so I parked it in 2015
now in 2017 I found out the that the NEW TSTAT that i had on the old engine WAS NOT put on this one it had the one that came with the replacement motor which failed CLOSED. So another TSTAT and all is now well. Found a Vac Leak at the cruise control replaced that and this P38 is now alive and well.
NOW the questions:
1. I need an HVAC Control head the LCD is DOA but system works
2. Stereo was working now it is just a popping sound and Ideas where to start the trouble shooting?
Car sat in the storage shop of 2 years (not climate controlled in that building)
Everything else is working fine.

The climate control unit is available on eBay for cheap. There is a company that sells refurbished units. I had good luck with them.

No idea on the radio.

For me it was the first one to come up with a search of eBay motors.

Look at this on eBay REMAN 99-02 RANGE ROVER P38 A/C Heater Climate AC Temperature Control >EXCHANGE< | eBay

I bought a used HVAC unit from ebay and surprisingly it works perfectly. One interesting thing to note was that two of the button were switched showing air to main vents and lower vents. I swapped those and everything works fine. I 'fixed' my original one with some tape behind the lcd ribbon but that eventually failed after about 5 years.

Glad to hear you got her sorted out. I am dealing with some major oil leaks on mine. But can't complain much, it hasnt leaked in 9 years of ownership before this. She just ticked over 150k in Moab.
