With that kind of folding money involved, a few hours of time for your (not his) Rover mechanic inspection would be advised. Another note, Rover has increased the service intervals over the years, things like coolant swap out have gone from 30,000 miles / 2 years to 150,000 / 10 years. Similar nonsense with differential fluids, and the volume of the differential housing has reduced by 2/3, while vehicle weight and HP have increased. Science has not actually kept up with the ad department. These new figures are a way for leased vehilces to have low cost of ownership, while pushing repair costs to next owner. If you purchase the vehicle consider a more arduous maintenance schedule. Fluids are far cheaper than parts they surround.
In effect, at 24,000 miles this vehicle could have had all the current factory services done, which might be a couple of oil changes. And 10,000 mile oil changes, when just a few years ago it was 7500, and should be 5000.
