93 RRC LWB won't start
Another RRC won't start thread, but I'm at wits end. I can follow directions, but I'm not sure how to troubleshoot.
Last fall I had the coil, distributor, amp module, cap and rotor replaced by a rover tech in Madison WI. It ran for a couple of weeks and then wouldn't start again. It died in December.
I purchased new plugs (Bosch Platinum gap .035), wires and a new battery and installed them today since finally had the time and some decent weather. Wisconsin winter was brutal this year.
It still won't start. It acts like it wants to, but it just won't fire. The fuel pump is working properly as I can smell fuel after trying a few times. I let it sit a bit between attempts in case I flooded it.
How can I test if I'm getting spark?

First do a visual--if it just died abruptly from running well then something might have simply fell off or came loose. These trucks have to have something simple at fault because they are usually good starters.
Since it had some work before it failed check to see is the distributor has moved. Held by a clamp at the base if not tightened up properly it can creep and severely retard the ignition--"result no startee"
Simply grasp it try to turn it. If tight now glance down to the vacuum ADV unit of the side. Holding the reluctor plate inside the distributor if the thing is loose or the screws have come out the whole thing will be doing the samba as you crank it and the engine will be severely out of time. Result no startee!
If that looks OK and you have put new wires on it did you get the firing order correctly--incorrect--- no startee.
For grins and giggles disconnect a plug wire, insert one of you old plugs, get an assistant to crank it with the plug visible & resting on some engine metal part. Any spark? Chispa no hay--yes-- no spark no startee!
If it sparks is the spark a strong yellow color or a weak whisper of a thing
To clear any flooded injected engine. Floor the pedal and crank, this stops injection automatically.
Just a few thought for you to try. (For starters)

Thanks for the additional info. It rained all day here yesterday and I have to work today. I'll get at it tomorrow afternoon.
I'm motivated as it's parked in front of the garage stall where the vette is parked and the weather is finally going to be nice enough to get her out for a cruise.

Finally had some time and a nice day. I went to start it and it started right up!!
Not sure why other than I flooded it before or moisture somewhere that caused a short.
Although it runs, it's still idles a little off. The rpms fluctuate. Is there something I should adjust?
