Default 95 rr lwb 4.2 vc

Hi All
I have been in search of a BW xfer case replacement for the Range Rover.
I had found one and I am able to move the VC with about 45 lbs on the breaker bar. Can this be used since its not seized?
The original has 180k and binding was felt so I have temp removed the ft drive shaft.
Thanks for the help!

I'd be looking to replace it with an LT230 lockable transfercase like the D1 has. A lot of RRC owners upgrade to that case anyway.

Resurrecting an month old thread to challenge the contention that the LT230 is an "upgrade" over the Borg Warner.

The high end RR received the BW for a reason. It provides better real world traction in the type of mixed conditions that a driver of such a vehicle would encounter most often. The LT230 provides an advantage in off road only conditions and does provide the benefit of being able to lock the Dif and drive home if you lose a driveshaft.

I'd say go with the BW. If you're installing yourself, you'll only lose your labor time to bolt the thing up and test it out if you don't want a reconditioned unit.
