'96 RR EAS unlock - now springs
HUH?
You didn't think I meant coils did you?
I thought POSSIBLY that after sucessful reset/unlock & new o-rings I was done for a while with my air suspension leaking down.
HAA!
I came out yesterday 5 A.M. & he/she/it was down. I started & in a few minutes I could hear the periodic hissing from driver's front as it tried to rise.
I immediately went on ebay & bought (2) genII from Arnott (the backs are newer).
I had them overnighted to me, got them @3pm - had them installed by 5:30pm (I took breaks - it's cold in Chicago)
They seem fine. watch out stray animals

My ignorance annoys me...
Had I found this forum a few months earlier, I wouldn't have spent $1800 on the conversion to coil springs. The EAS is a really simple system I've found...I'm quite jealous of your whole conundrum

THX,
I thought about coils last fall, but I love the ride.
Next year, I may go genIII air springs & recal my ride height. (that is an option with the software download)

What do genIII springs give you as opposed to genII or I?
And yes the coils are definitely a rougher...er..stiffer..ride. I do like the ride height though (I went with the 2' lift springs), and not having to worry about coming out one morning and it being on its bump stops [&:]

GenI was an oem clone - GenII have the stock characteristics' But they have bands top/bottom to keep the bags tight to the pistons so they won't leak.
Arnott GenIII's have a redesigned bottom piston which tapers to the top. It's claimed that @ full extension it's softer (better offroad) & lowered @ highway speeds its fatter (firming up the ride).
Additionally, it's longer so if I were to reprogram my raised mode in my computor it'll be higher (I think up to 2").
GenII & GenIII have lifetime guarantees also.

Can you tell me how you would have solved the EAS problem?
I have EAS error and I would rather not have to give in to the coil springs if I don't have to.
