Default 98 rr hse p1316 & p340

Ok, i am so tired of cussing this damn truck. I hate it!
Selling it to anyone who is interested!

Now I have a P1316 and a P340.
Misfire and a camshaft position sensor.
truck wont run, died on the road today and had to walk a mile home to get my Toyota which never has issues.

is this normal for a cam sensor to go bad within an hours time? truck wont run all of the sudden.
there were no codes thrown until right before it died. i got the P1316 code 2 times and the 3rd code was the P340. I am assuming the only reason the 1316 code is there is because of the 340 code... is this correct?

where is the cam sensor on this thing anyway? I cant see it anywhere?

I am selling this truck for $3000 if anyone is interested! It looks immaculate.. black on tan with chrome wheels and new cooper tires, new battery, new brakes, new fuse box, new climate control. Its in Wilmington, NC. Come and get this money eating POS! Motor is strong, tranny is strong. 100K miles. Most of the electrical has been replaced.

Would you like some cheese with your whine?

The camshaft position sensor has gone out which is keeping the ECU from adjusting the timing, which gives you the misfire code. If you want help, just ask for it. These vehicles are very solid, easy to work on and a great all around vehicle. Sure they have their issues, but go complain about your rover and praise you toyota on a TOYOTA forum!
