Advice??
I'm looking at a 94 County LWB. It has 106k miles on it and cosmetically is in excellent condition. The engine runs strong (I test drove it on both city streets and the highway). The brakes stop it straight and true. The one nagging question I have is: When I started the engine, the ABS light was on, but when I shifted into Drive and moved (what seemed to be) an inch, the light went off. Is this normal--or is this a hint of a problem??
Also--what kind of issues can I expect with this vehicle??
Oh, and it's $7900--fair?? Carfax shows all is well in the records, and I would be a 4th owner. Also shows a window sticker from Land Rover of Colorado Springs recommending a service at 108.5k miles--suggesting it was in there not long ago....
Thanks;
Michael.

RE: Advice??
Welcome Michael !
No worries about the ABS light. It will not go off until it receives good signals from all four sensors, about 5 mph. Now if the ABS and brake light stay on for more than 5 seconds, this may indicate A weak brake accumulator.
Read threw the forum. You should expect high maintenance costs as this is A luxury SUV in the States. $7900 seems very high. Check around locally for prices.
I do have A soft spot for Classic LWB's. My first choice would A 95' LWB, second 94'. They just have so much room inside.
Good luck and let us know what you decide !

RE: Advice??
I bought my '95 about two years ago, with 103K on it and paid $4,500. Be prepared for some service expense with a RR of that vintage. I love mine, but it's a love/hate relationship. I love the fact that it's a relationship between myself and my RR to keep it running. It's a challenge at times as something quits working. My cruise control is no longer working and hunting down the reasons is a headache. But when I get something fixed, I feel proud. In my mind, I keep telling myself that anyone could drive to the dealer and just keep throwing money at it...it takes a true love to spend night after night hunting down issues and getting it back to running order.
The one thing that really irks me about my vintage is the rear window surround: IT rusts no matter what you do, especially in the corners...and I'm in IDAHO where my relative humidity is rarely above 20%.
