I had an Alpine GPS, sat radio, cd, etc in a Jeep. The GPS was Garmin and was the best GPS I ever had. It was so much better than the stock GPS that comes with Land Rovers. But it's major surgery to take out the stock radios in these cars and replace them with aftermarket stuff. Be careful

How about just the CD changer? I have a '97 and if you drive over even a small pebble it skips. Are the newer ones any better and can they be retrofitted to a '97. I've been thinking about pulling it out to see if I can come up with a more shock-proof mount.

I use the adopter for an Ipod. That never skips and holds every cd you have ever heard in your life. You can buy music from Itunes or you can put cds on your Itunes for nothing. Cd's are really becoming obsolete now.

I know they and I suppose I should move away from them. Do you use the cassette adapter, wireless or something inline?

Actually I was wrong it was the Kenwood I had in the Jeep. You will love it, it will find anything. It's far better that what LR is using. If you know how to use a Garmin GPS you never have to open the book. The best bluetooth too, I'm surprised it won't make coffee.

The adapter for the Ipod is an option on all new ones. Don't try to use the AUX jack, there will be no volume. I just keep my spare Ipod hooked up to it all the time. It does put the thing to sleep if your not using it and keeps it charged. Haven't had the guts to hook the iphone up to it as I don't know if it would work very well if someone called you while you were listening to your I tunes but the jack fits the Iphone too.

Yea, kenwood doesnt make bad cd decks. I had one in my previous car and it was great. It just sucks that the price for the unit is gonna be like 700, then the install on top of it. Off subject does anyone know where i can get the specific mount for range?
