Default Air suspension problem(?!)

Dear members,

I own a Range Rover 1994 Soft-Dash with air-suspension.

Lately, I noticed that it no longer has a soft and comfortable ride....on the contrary it is quite hard. In fact I have to slow down alot when I encounter a speed hump or a small pot-hole.

I might have a leak because whenever I leave for a day in the same place, the range rover goes down thus possible the compressor is not working well.

At this stage, I am considering removing the airsuspension and change to normal coils.

What would you reccomend as something comfortable?

Thanks alot for reading my post.

If you want comfort stick with the air springs. I would check and see if you are riding on the bump stops which it sounds like you are. Also, you may be stuck in Highway mode. Is the switch next to the ride height selector activated (a light will come on), this will cause it to stay in highway mode even when going slow. Check these things and get back to us.

If you can make the air springs work then do it, it is such a great ride. The vehicle is old and so you probably have a leak somewhere. Take the time and use some soapy water and try to find the leak, that will tell you where to look. A leak may be why the compressor is struggling.
