Alarm sounder gone wild
Hi guys, Been browsing for weeks and now need some help. Bought a 1997 4.6 HSE about six weeks ago and had a bit of trouble getting used to the LPG and associated switches. However, a couple of nights ago (at 5 am) the alarm sounded. We had guests and there were three cars parked close together on the drive. Also, it rained. I couldn't shut the sounder off! I could unlock the car, start it, shut off the engine and re-lock with the handset. But the alarm would not shut off.
Having tried all sorts, I unlocked the car and left the drivers door on the first latch - guess what, the alarm went off again
. I have unplugged it now and the car works fine. Locks, red LED flashes and all.
Any suggestions please. I am thinking it must be the sounder going haywire.
