Default Another Range Rover - LRX

This is really getting silly. Why even have a Land Rover brand, just name everything under the sun a Range Rover...

So is it a car or SUV? Two door?

Yep it is a two door SUV. I totally agree with you luxury1... the sport was bad enough (nothing against RRSs but just name it something else for crying out loud) and now this. I don't mind the look of the LRX but it is not a RR and will it even have off-road capability? Looks pretty low to the ground...

It appears to be like the Freelander was to Land Rover, it will be considered the lesser of all the brand. I think they are reaching for a niche in the market that they are not getting, as much as I dont like the idea I am sure someone will buy it, maybe teenage girls that will never take it off road. They may even offer them in pink.

I've got no problem with them making the car, I do think it fits a nitch. I DON'T like that they plan to call it a Range Rover. Range Rover is a model name, Land Rover is the maker, I don't like the RR Sport for that reason. Its a good vehicle, but should have had its own name. At least the RRS LOOKS like a RR, only smaller. The LX looks completely diffrent (at least at this point)

We are all on the same page with this one. They are diluting the brand equity in Range Rover to the point where it will no longer be something special.

This is the equivalent of BMW putting 7 series on the X3 but I guess this is Tata at work.

Oh man, don't do that. I also object to the Sport being called "Range Rover Sport". Stop calling everything a Range Rover when it isn't.

The LRX has some great features. It will appeal to 20 somethings like the A3 or Lil VW . It truly is not a RR if so it would be a RRX, bigger and more luxurious. I think they just want to use the name to sell a product. It happens in all fields where something is popular and every one gloms on.
