Hi all can anyone tell me where the filler tube is for the autobox on a 51 plate p38

 

I only know a few of the letter designations in relation to years on the P38. Depending on the year of your rover either it will be on the left of the engine bay when standing at the front or you will not have one at all. You need to tell us if it is a GEMS engine or a Bosch system to be certain.

 

Thanks for the reply, ended up ringing landrover as i couldn't find a dipstick or filler tube anywere, turns out the filler is on the box itself and its just like filling a diff, fill till fluid comes out of the hole.

I guess that would be an easy way of asking someone if its a bosch or gems. Does it have a dipstick for the transmission? lol.
