Default Back from Hibernation

I am trying to bring back to life my 90RR that has been idle for about 4 years now. About a year ago, I was able to start the engine with a couple of shots of starter fluid through the intake. I let the engine idle for about 20 minutes then let it sit again for about 11 months.

This afternoon, with a freash new battery, the engine would crank, but will not fire up.With acoupleof shots of starter fluid, the enginefires up, butwould die down afterabout 3 seconds.

I would greatly appreciate anyinsight or advice on what the problem might be. Thanks!!

Default RE: Back from Hibernation

Motors need three things, air, fuel and fire. It could be a sensor or something that has gone bad, or it could be the gas. It sounds as if the air and fire are not theproblem, because it cranks with the ether,I would guess to say that 2 or 3 seconds and the ether would be gone. Maybe a fuel problem, old gas, or something.
