What wrong with my battery light? When I turn the ignition on and try to start the engine (wont start but turns over) the battery light turns on and then fades out, then turns on again and fades out again. It keeps doing this while the ignition is on. There is no pattern or anything to it, its kind of like a random pulsing. The truck is a 93 3.9L range rover. I also tested all the wires to and from the battery light for continuity and its all good. What the F is wrong with this thing?

 

Does it come on right as you are about to start it? And then does it extinguish while you are trying to turn it over, and then immediately come back on after you stop trying to turn it over? Have you made sure that the engine is getting fuel and spark?

 

So, have you checked your cables, are they clean and tight, how about the battery, how many volts are they making?
