Default Coil location

I feel stupid for asking this but I was replacing my plugs and wires the other day and could not find the coil wire for the life of me. Is the coil built into the disributer or something? Its a 1999 Range Rover 4.0.

There is no distributor on your rover. When you plugged your wires in at the back of the engine that is the coil that you are connecting it to. It has individual coil packs.

Thats what I thought, I've never done plugs and wires on a car with individual coils. Thanks!
