Default Coil suspension pictures

I just purchased my first RR 1996 and have an EAS fault... After hearing about the issues that can arise and the headaches that it causes (and the $$$) I want to know if anyone has pictures of a changeover from air suspension tocoil over springsand a estimate on the cost, where to get it done? I noticed Atlantic Brittish has a standard change over kit that will set it up to STANDARD RIDE HEIGHT... My Rover is sitting on the bump stops and looks awesome, but the ride is not very nice. Planning to put on some 22"'s and don't really want that tall look..

Thanks

Default RE: Coil suspension pictures

I put the coils on my 2001. I went with the 2' over kit. I like the higher ride and the taller look. I can get ya some pics later today.

As for cost, down here in Raleigh, NC dealer price was $2400-$2500 for the EAS replacement, but they still wanted $2100+ for a coil conversion. I checked with a local offroading suspension shop, they could do the swap, but I would still need a dealer or LR specialist to reprogram everythign to eliminate the EAS and put it in manual mode through the computers. That proved to be too expensive...so I ended up doin it at an independent LR mechanic that's close by. Took em 1 day for a complete diagnosis (he showed me both cracked rear bags, siezed compressor, and a leaking air line), got the parts in the next day, and a third day for the complete install. $1800 after all was said and done (including the $150 tow fee, and $165 in diagnosics).

I presonally enjoy the ride of the springs over the EAS, and also the added benefit of not worrying about coming out one morning and finding the suspension back down on the bump stops
