Default COW SLOW

HELLO AGAIN
I TEST DROVE A 2002 RR WITH 29000 MILES ON IT.IT HAD EAS ISSUES BUT THIS DID NOT BOTHER ME AS I INSPECTED THE LINES ANDAPPARENTLY IT IS A BRITTLE LINE AT THE COMPRESOR.IT REALLY DOES NOTMATTER THAT MUCH.WHAT REALLY BOTHERED ME WAS HOW SLOW IT WAS.I THOUGT UPON BEING A 4.6 IT WOULD BE LIVELIER, NOT FAST, AS YOU CANNOT USE THIS WORD AND RANGE ROVER IN THE SAME SENTENCE, BUT AT LEAST MORE TORQUERY.I ALSO TESTED A 04 DISCO AND HAVING THE SAME MOTOR WAS MUCH BETTER.IS THIS IS THE WAY IT IS OR COULD THERE BE SOMETHING WRONG?I HAD DRIVEN A 4.0AND THIS 4.6 FELT ABOUT THE SAME.THANKS AS ALWAYS.

Default RE: COW SLOW

I have an '02 4.6 and the pedal travel for the accelerator is pretty long. I'm not sure how you drove the vehicle, but I tend to keep my RPM close to 2000/2200 simply because of gas costs. One day I decided to see what 300 lb. ft. of torque felt like and I put in in sport mode and DROVE the truck. I was pleased and relatively surprised with the engine performance in the higher rev range. It took me about 3 weeks to discover this power because I didn't know it was there, I was using maybe 20% of the distance of pedal travel, so if you drive one again I don't think you will be disappointed, and certainly it is not cow slow, just depends on your right foot...
