Dashboard Curling in P38 4.6
Am new owner familiarizing myself w/ truck. The dashboard has curled around the rim of the right dash vent. Are there are reliable fixes for this?
My only notion, for which I'd love feedback, is to soften the dash w/ a heat gun (delicately), then glue down the curled edge, but the angle of the windshield doesn't allow a heavy press (like a brick) to sit on it while it cures. I think you need weight to reform it, duct tape wouldn't seem to work.
Am I missing something? Is there a better fix?

There is the potential that your solution would work. Dashboards deforming is a common problem on the P38, and most of the time the dashboard just needs to be replaced. If you are going to try to repair it, I wouldn't use something as aggressive as a heat gun, I would us a blow dryer instead. Hope it works for you, as it is a relatively large pain to replace the existing dash.
