Default Airbag cover curling on the top

2005 LR3 Steering Wheel airbag is starting to peel up on the top and the bottom edges. I have seen several other LR3s with similar issues. The local dealer service manager told me that this is a common problem and that they all do it. He did not know of any fixes other than replacing the airbag. Has anyone dealt with this issue before? Any way to fix it? JB weld on the back side? Will that impact the airbag deployment? Thanks in advance. Phil

Mine, 05, is like this as well. I don't see JB weld or super glue working. It's pretty stiff and I doubt it would stay down.

I'm sure they (LR) put it on with some type of adhesive...

Same here, along with the dash splits, at the air vents, and also the passenger air bag on the dash. Yesterday I noticed that half of the seat belt clips (the black part) are also split in two at the front center in the same spot.

I'd need one to cut apart to see if it actually presents a safety hazard.

Now that we have had the truck for a couple of months, I hardly notice it anymore. I do check others to see if they are doing it too and virtually every other LR3 that I have seen has the same issue. I am going to live with it, in the off chance that I need the airbag, I don't want to do anything that would hamper it deploying properly. Phil
