Default Do RR owners notice this on your front windshield

Hey Guys,

I had been looking at buying a 2002 RR, however I just test drove a 2004 and during the test drive Inoticed the "lines" that run down the front windshield. I know it's for ice issues, but the whole time I was driving my eyes kept being drawn to the lines, it was driving me crazy. Is this something you get used to and just don't notice after awhile, or am I losing it.

Did the pre 2003 RR have this, if so I didn't notice it on them.

Thanks,

My 2001 has the windshield defroster lines. Althought it does have the cold climate package, so I don't know if they were standard or not in '01.

And from my driving angle, I can hardly pick out the lines if I try. Now I am 6'4 so I'm sitting up a bit higher than most would..and I can notice the lines more from the passenger seat. I'm sure you will get used to it though..you should convince yourself to anyway, I've never had a windshield defrost faster than my Range..it's real nice.

If you want the vehicle bad enough, you will get used to it before the first day passes.

Thanks for the input,

I may see if I can just keep the RR for a few hours and see if they just blend in,I really liked the 04 over the 02.......not the price however.

Mine had the heated windshield and I never even noticed the lines. When you test drive the 04' for a few hours, don't try and focus onthe lines. Just drive and enjoy how the truck feels. If you live in a climate that gets ice, frost, and snow, just think about how nice it will be to have that melted off in minutes w/ that windshield.

If that is your only concern and you can't get past it, you are in trouble cause more and more vehicles have this.

I have a 99 RR and it has the wires that you are talking about. I never notice the things, I think you get used to them. I do like that the windshield defrosts and defogs so fast. I am at the mountain all winter playing in the snow. While everyone else is stillscrapping their windshields I amalready on the way home.
