Default Flickering Lights

Hi,

I have a Range Rover 4.6 HSE 1997, when the lights are on they flicker, so do the dashboard lights and the engine seems to whirrr. They don't flicker enough to cause any problems but I'm worried that something it is a big problem. I have taken it in to Landy and the say that the Alternator is fine and charging very well. I wondered if it could be a low powered amp, battery or something else?

Any ideas?

First thing to do is check all earth points, (wires connecting to bodywork, engine etc) as these tend to corrode over time and need removing and given a good clean up with a wire brush and re bolted back on.

Sometimes a bad fuse can cause this problem too, worth checking the main fuse to make sure it is not breaking up.
