I always want to get one that says "HYBRID" just to tick off the Prius behind me. I know that even with my poor gas mileage my Rover has a much smaller carbon footprint than a new Prius or similar for that matter so it could be true.

LOL!!!!!! I think a more appropriate name for the cars is "Pious".

I have noticed that once the rover has reached operating temperature, the exhaust is very clean. It almost has no odor and seems like just hot water vapor is making its way out the tail pipe. Not that I huff my cars' fumes... . But, when compared to many other vehicles on the road. I would say that my rover has a clean burning engine. The oil leaks are a different story though.

I agree Scott. I drive a recycled Rover in my opinion and since it has already been manufactured even though it gets poor gas mileage it has less of a footprint than a new Toyota. That is why I do not feel bad when gas prices go up. It would take me a couple years to make up the difference in costs if I bought a new car to get better MPG. It is all relative though.
