I never hear of Range Rovers getting stolen? I can't imagine that they are any harder to steal than any other car but I am guessing that since there are so few, the thief would stick out like a sore thumb. I know that the Escalade (or "Slade" as it is known on the street") is stolen all of the time. Not surprising as it is probably easy to steal and it is such a target among the street crowd.

Any RR theft stories?

 

I feel like if it were to be done, it would have to be a flat bed grab and go. No way anyones getting in these things especially if theyre superlocked.

 

One of my friend just recovered his Classic after being stollen 3 weeks ago, it happens.

 

What kind of security system do the classics have?

I always super lock mine. even in the garage (paranoid?)maybe........

 

I did too...until an awesome combination of the remote failing as well as the BeCM losing the key codes...not even the EKA method would open it up. I dont even know how the shop got into it...

Yea what is the " super locked " term....newbie here.

I had my 02 freelander attempted to be stolen a few months back. they couldn't get it , so they busted every wiindow out of it!

 

Superlock is like a dead bolt. Dead bolts the door shut, arms the interior motion alarm, and probably a slew of other things. You just hit the lock button twice to engage it. There should be a whole section in your manual about Superlocking.
