Default Help with purchasing a new RR s/c

Hi,

I'm interested in buying a new range rover supercharged but i have a couple of questions.

- when is a facelift/update/new one coming out, because i don't want to buy one now when there's a new one coming out in the near future

- would you order it now or wait until oktober november so that it can be delivered in januari 2009, would that make any difference in the future value.

thanks,
Michael

Mike,
I found some information recently on-line regarding the new RR model. I believe a total redesign is projected for release sometime in2012. It is going to take the RR to a whole new level and the article said the appointments and options will be approaching 'Bentley' status. With that is projected tobe a significant increase in the sticker - ie around $200K. I'd buy one now.

see the article at: http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do...ticleId=120744

hi,

so you say buy one now, don't wait with the order. just order it now.
and work hard so that i can upgrade to the new one in '12.

but i heard something about the 2009 sport being a 5 litre supercharged v8, but that doesn't count for the big one

Mike -
I hadn't seen that article...but as it suggests the 'redesign' is very subtle.

I guess you need to weigh the changes and make a decision you're comfortable with.

And don't forget that anything on the drawing board could be changed significantly with Tata's acquisition...

hi,

So what are the chances of an update coming out in the near future.
they only talk of an update on the RR sport and the Discovery (LR2?) but nothing on the Big RR and the Freelander (LR3?)

P.s what colour interior would you choose with a black exterior: sand,Jet,parchment (but the parchment has blue piping)?
I'm also thinking of colour coding part of the grill and side grills, door handles and door mirrors
