Default Help required - need part to make my horn work??

Hello All

The wonderful Russian dealership fixing my 1998 HSE have now advised that they cannot fix my horn because they cannot get the part. I don't think they have even tried, they just said that they could not get it last time.

I'm still trying to get the part number etc translated from Russian but it may be called a 'Rotary Coupler' and the part number may be DAMXCK5A? They sent me a screen shot of the Dealership part ordering system but everything else needs to be translated.

Does anyone know if this might be the right part that is preventing my horn from working? (they claim it is located in the steering column).

Does what I described above seem like a real part and can I order it from anywhere?

Any and all assistance greatly appreciated!

Are they indicating that the "Spiral Ring" in the steering wheel is bad?

I am looking at one right now that I ordered for my 1996 p38 RR to fix the cruise. (Didn't fix it) The numbers on it are AMR 5631 2433 5010. Hope that helps you out. It is a fairly common part. You can buy them on ebay. Kind of interesting that the dealership can't get the part.

Default I have a new part number!

YRC100350 ROTARY COUPLER

This is what I have been told I need and that it is on 'backorder' but they don't expect it to ever arrive!

Being a dealer they won't order anything other than genuine parts.

I'm still thinking of trying to source one and get them to fit it. Any ideas of where I should start looking??
