Default How to bleed the air out of 99 range rover hse

This is second time this happen to me. Just bought a 99 range rover 4.6 hse. .... It was heating and I fill it up... But still continnue to heat.... I remenber that the mechanicianhave to bleed it ... but how to do it ? .. looking over for instructions on the site ... I read that near the radiator that i have to unscrew a cap ... or whatelse. I need detail instruction to do it by myself.... is it ok to refill with half water and half coolant. ...there is also a leak near the radiator. A smal hole pumping out the collant ... is it ok to seal it with marine tech. Thanks
Patrick

The only correct repair for a cooling system leak is to replace the component that is leaking. If you have a leak, it is nearly impossible to successfully bleed the system. Replace the leaking part and I'll walk you through the correct bleeding procedure.

Default 99 RR 4.6 HSE cooling bleed process

Ok, I'll try this again hopefully under the correct vehicle. Sorry for a misplaced post earlier. I am getting a little confused with all I am reading on bleed methods. I thought I had mine done and then it held for a few mins then shot up again. Do I do it stone cold? It is warm right now. Do I disconnect at the nipple and raise the tube heading to the overfill? Should the stream come out of the nipple end or out of the hose end? One time coolant came out the nipple, the other time it came out of the hose that I had raised up a couple of inches higher than the tank and rad. I do not see a bleed screw anywhere. The overflow tank already seems to be positioned higher than everything else, so do I need to unbolt and raise it?

Thanks for all the great info I have found here.
