Smile 05 Range Rover Purchase?

Interested in purchasing an 05 RR. Viewed quite a few history reports on RR. If something has actually been replaced is that a good thing? If there has been no replacement history just a "check" does that mean there is a good chance of failure down the road?

I am looking at 05 RR's between 87,000 - 97,000 miles.

Husband says I'm crazy and should be prepared to spend at least $3k right away on whatever one I get....

I own 01 BMW 530I sport pkg. - Never any problems with BMW.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Any high end vehicle will be expensive. So I agree with your husband. New tires or brakes can each set you back $1k at the dealer. When the BMW requires new tires and brake you're going to spend the same amount.

Remember youre trying to buy a 7 year old vehicle out of warranty.
At that mileage stuff starts to need replacement, but you have likely experienced that or are about to experience it with the BMW. The difference is the air suspension. You should plan for the expense of an air bag/system failure which will not be cheap.

If your're no buying from a LR dealer my recommendation would be to get a PPI at a dealer (yes I said dealer) they are amazing at finding stuff that is about to break

Good Luck
