How to change Headlight for Non adaptive headlight. L322

My Rover is US 2008 HSE 4.4L

Tools: Philips screw driver

Time: 10 minutes

1. Remove three screws. (Slide-1)



on outer top ends push down a bit to unclip.

2. Pull the top free a little, and unclip temp sensor attached to inside grille. (Slide-2)



now lift straight up an grille should come free.

3. Remove the three screws from Headlight assemble. (slide-3)



4. Wiggle free a little ways, it is attached by the plug. (slide-4)



5. Unplug, and move to your work bench or tailgate. (slide-5)



6. Open cover, ccw. (slide-6)



7. You can now see the D1S bulb. Twist to remove. Unplug connector. (slide-7)



8. Here are the bulbs I used. (slide-8)


9. Unclip and remove plastic retainer ring. (I left the protective foam cover on the new bulb until I was ready to twist in.) Install the retainer ring on new bulb. (slide-12)(slide-13)(slide-14)





10. Plug wire into new bulb, check orientation, only goes one way. (slide-15)

11. Remove foam cover, insert into housing, then twist.(slide-16)(slide-17)



11. Re assemble in reverse order.
