Default iPod in Rover

Anybody having any luck hooking their ipod or other mp3 player to their factory Rover radio set up? I know densionusa and maybe monster are coming out with kits.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I was wondering the same thing. I will be getting my '05 Range tomorrow and wanted to hook my iPod up! Maybe the '05 already has a hookup?

As far as I know the only luxery vehicle maker who has thier system set up for the ipod is BMW. I think that option starts in the 5 serries classes and moves up into the 7's as well. It would be a nice feature, at the same time LR did mention something about putting in a mpe system

I know that some cars, in general, have an auxiliary connector (which can be used for iPod, Satellite radio, etc). I know my 2001 does not. Wondering if anybody has done the densionusa or monstercable kit, which allows you to use your CD changer connections to play your iPod and what has been the experience?

BMW and Mini actually let you use the steering controls to control the iPod. And others are teaming up with Apple to integrate.

SJ I would be surprised if an '05 anything doesn't have a connection for auxiliary input nowadays.

Good luck,
PeteV

My friend got his landrover set up. His landrover is a 2001, he bought an itrip for it, so all he has to do is tune to the specific radio station, i think its like 87.9 or something. Also there is the cheap way to go if you dont want to buy the itrip, and it works just as well. You will need an old tape player, and one of these: http://www.enotalone.com/electronics/B00005T39Y.html as you can see it is pretty cheap. And you dont have to modify anything with your LR. So hopefully that was some help to you, good luck.

just get an fm modulator, one that takes batteries, then you tune a radio station to it, also i-pod sucks.
