Hey guys, just wanted to introduce myself. I normally spend about 90% of my online time at Ferrarichat.com (I own a 348) but I hope to be splitting that in half with this forum. Just purchased an 00' Range Rover and will be picking it up on Tues. Very excited, I will try to post pics when I get it (you can post pics here right?). Sorry, if these are the same newbie questions again (we always pick on newbies over there that don't know how to use the SEARCH button) but I have a couple that I would like to ask that I couldn't find specific answers too....

1. As far as the 00' 4.0 SE's are concerned, do people ever have major mechanical failures with them such as Engine or Tranny problems...

2. I have read about the finicky air suspensions these things have....In your opinion, are these problems overrated or are they justified...and can most of these problems be fixed by someone mechanically inclined....I do all the work on my Ferrari myself (dealer prices are ridiculous) except motor or gearbox work.

3. Good source of inexpensive parts?

4. I want to take this thing all over the country...I could give a crap about how many miles I put on it...Is it reliable enough to do so (my nightmare is being stranded with this thing)

5. Have your Rovers ever left you stranded?

6. I would like navigation in it (though this one doesn't have it)...Anyone ever added navigation into their Rover?

congratz...i got a 98 RR SE...and i did add a navigation in it. u can go on the site below to check it out. I live in canada, and it says on the website that its not available in the states. but its really good, i like it. it has a built in MP3 player and a 30 GB hard drive. it works fine, i love it. big screen and touch screen. check it out, but i dunno when there gonna have it in the states. good luck!
