I found a filter and a box of oil under a pile of junk at my mom's house, I guess my step father did his own oil changes but the last 2 years he was old and passed last feb. After driving it for about 1500 miles I am starting to take a liking to the ride but would love a brand new F-250 SuperDuty. This might be a Trade-In or sale.
It looks like the oil pan gasket is leaking everywhere under the car, if I keep the HSE for longer then this year I will get around to resealing the oil pan again. Seems like I can do it in the car, right guys?

If you remove oil pan, in addition to cleaning off the oil pickup screen, replace the O-ring for the pickup tube, a little loctite makes sure the bolts stay put. Here's a couple of pages from the shop manual, called the RAVE, free download of the whole thing in links below as well. Watch coolant temp, above 50% is suspect.

 

Ath that mileage, might want to consider a new timing chain set and oil pump repair kit, will give your engine a nice boost.
