I don't agree, If you buy a good clean truck that has been well maintained you wont have any more trouble than most vehicles. The key is maintenance. I have had 4 Rovers and they have all had their little quirks (just like your Volvo does) but overall they are good dependable vehicles. The problems you will run into are usually small petty things that you could live without for a few days, not usually major stuff that would leave you stranded. Between all my Rovers I have put on well over 100,000 miles and have never been stranded.

It does sound allot like Volvos. It really boils down to how the vehicle was maintained prior to aquiring it. Like Range Rovers, Volvos can
be a great investment and a real pleasure to own or a major $$$ pit and your worst nightmare. The trick, I think, is not being in a rush and finding the right one. That's the discipline.
