Default new with lots of Q's

I am new to this forum. I just got out of my 5 th volvo and bought my first RR HSE. I did frequent a Volvo forum and found it quite informative. I do not have the new RR yet but should in a few days.

I'll start with an easy questions:

1 can you add the rear video (DVD) system to an 04 RR HSE? Any idea how much $$

thanks in advance.

04 range HSE is based off of the bmw nav system. That means; no optical. In other words you now have a number of options to consider for A/V in your range.

So DVD in the rear,
1. you can buy genuine rover headrests that have had montitors installed in them
--with or without the video source (dvd player)
2. You can also get aftermarket headrests that have the dvd player in the headrest. The best ones generally have and RCA input also.

Most of these come with installation directions, if you wanted to do-it yourself.

Generally, an installation shop should charge AT MOST one day of labor. AT MOST, one day. If it takes them longer, you probably want to visit another spot. Depending on what you choose to do, parts should be between $800.00 and $2500.00.
Hope this helps and
Happy Hunting.
