Default New owner with some questions

Hello

We recently purchased an 06 RR HSE. About a week after purchase a rock hit the windshield and it was replaced.

I find the car very noisy at high speeds and am wondering if it has anything to do with the windshield - it is a factory windshield and there are no leaks - We have had tons of rain here so i think i would have seen a leak by now

I guess my question is ... Is this a noisy car at high speeds?

Also there is a rattling noise coming from the tailgate/trunk - we thought it was the cover and removed it no luck... any ideas?

Thank you in advance

We have both an 06 and 08 HSE - both quiet as can be. Is the vehicle still under warranty? How many miles?

Does the new windshield have the heat elements in it? If not, they may have replaced it with a cheaper thinner alternative. The rattling could just be the trunk cover, maybe something in the spare tire compartment, could be anything. If the rattle bugs you that much, your best bet is to have someone back there locate it while you are driving, which could potentially be dangerous but that is your decision.

you might have a failing seal around rear hatch, that would cause noise.

It shouldn't be the new windshield causing the noise unless the installation was done improperly (in which case it should be pretty apparent). But no it shouldn't be a noisy car.

Rovers aren't the quietest but it shouldn't be noisy.
