Default New Rubber Valve Cover gaskets vs. old school gaskets for the 2002 P38

Would you guys go with the old school gaskets or the new rubber gaskets that are being made? Its time for my 83K RR to have hers changed even though its not leaking much at all. It's time. Thanks always for your comments.

The rubber ones should be as good or better than the old style. You are better at maintaining that thing than I am with mine lol. Mine are seeping and make it smell like a freight train. I'll replace them when its time to do the head gaskets, which I fear is right around the corner.

Looks like rubber gaskets are the way to go. Any opinions on using the stuff that comes in a tube and squeeze that paste along where a gasket would go. Someone suggested that for a tight seal, but I'm just not sold on the idea. Any comments?
