Default O2 sensor and gas mileage

Heres my question... from people who have any experience with this, what sort of increase in gas mileage have you seen after replacing all 4 02 sensors....

Currently im getting 14-15 MPG ( says the computer that controls my life) ..... id like that number to be of a larger size.

Thanks all and any....

AAh NONE, the O2 sensors have nothing to do with your right foot. and if you dont have a check engine light on your systems are operating normally. Dont expect anything better than 15-16 MPG

LPG? liters? LOL

But really... REALLY? im under the impression that the o2 sensors feed info to the ECU to tell it (indirectly) how much fuel to squirt...

I am going to toss you a different answer. It is a well know, proven fact, that once you hit 100,000 miles your 02 sensors loose their ability to send proper info the the ECU and you don't get the necessary air/fuel mixture. That being said, I don't know what your speed-o shows but if you are getting close to 100,000 then consider new 02, plugs, plug wires and engine and induction flush and keep your foot out of the throttle.

MIKE, thank you..... i am well past 100k, and for what its worth the onboard computer is telling me im averaging 14-15 mpg. To clear this up.... should i even expect more?... the guys at the "the auto parts store" guaranteed me another 10mpg.... which i really cant believe.

I am familiar with engine flushes.... and i purchased the Gunk brand motor flush, but havent used it yet, because my Royal Purple has not arrived yet. BUT... can you explain an "induction" flush?

Thank you once again....

Maybe im lame but i dont know what JFGI means. sorry

Do yourself a favor and replace your Fram filter with something like a K&N 3001 or a Mobil1 filter. Fram has by far the worst reputation out there and in the case of Rover engines, they cause you to have dry starts, no oil pressure.
