Default O2 Sensor Smoking

Hi,

1990 RR, 110k Miles. A couple months ago I was driving it and pulling into my driveway I smelled smoke. Opened the hood and the passenger side O2 sensor was smoking, glowing red. I finally got around to it today and replaced it with a NTK 24024. It runs fine but is still smoking. The O2 sensor isn't glowing or anything, and the smoke is a lot less. In fact, It's hard to tell if it's coming from the O2 sensor at all, but it's on that side and low. Doesn't smell completely electrical either, sort of an electrical meets carbon smell. Ideas? Wiring leading up to it looks fine...

While my D1 does not report cat temp to my scanner (I don't think it does), my Kia does, about 1350 degrees when running. That'll will certainly smoke any oil drip...
