Exceptional point. The great folks at Premier however, had an internet special...a free PPI for new customers which I took advantage of and knew beforehand. The Carfax, had it been pulled first would have saved a lot of time though! Your recommendation should be duly noted by anyone thinking about purchasing....

Still have my 2003 RR HSE (not a sports) and love it. Yes, some early teething problems in the first year or so with the recall on suspension and a shorting battery in the first month or two, but (touch wood) been wonderful since. Yes, it is getting on a bit, but we just did >1000km on a single tank of diesel!

You might be surprised how well rovers tolerate accidents. I have a Disco that was totaled but has zero frame damage and just needed a headlight, grill, and bumper.

Seeing that the RR was in multiple wrecks and the paint work was obvious, I wouldn't buy it... Especially at that price. Glad you found out before hand, and good luck on your future purchase .
