PCM Sensor & Coolant Sensor

PCM Sensor & Coolant Sensor
I have been told I need to replace both these sensors for $650. I have a 2002 RR 4.6 LHD. I do not know what a PCM sensor (any help and where is it) is and ask if the Coolant temp sensor could be on the pipes leading to the Heater Core.
