I have the Gen III by Arnott. It is just a friction fit. Mine came ready to go with the O-rings installed. Just lube up the air line and insert.

If you are trying to remove the collet to replace the o-rings, it just pulls out. Without the air line in there, they pop out pretty easily. Putting the o-rings in evenly can be a bitch. I used a dowel I had that was the same diameter as the inside of the fitting to push them in flat. Once the 2 o-rings are in, just push the collet back in place.

If you are just trying to swap out your old springs, just push down on the collet with an open end wrench and pullout the line.

Default New collet design.

The new collet is different than the original it is more like a metal sleeve tried to pull it out with pliers but to no avail. Mine apparently didn't come with O'rings installed they leak just a tad bit but enough to annoy me. Running a 100% duty cycle compressor now so not to worried about burning it up but still I don't want leaky collets.
